SYNOPSIS

Germany today. During the week of projects, Rainer Wenger (Jürgen Vogel)occurs to Professor Institute the idea of an experiment that explains to studentswhat is the functioning of the totalitarian governments. Thus begins anexperiment that will end up with tragic results.

In just a few days, which begins with a series of harmless ideas as the disciplineand sense of community is turning into a real movement: the wave. On thethird day, the students begins to isolate themselves and threaten each other.

When the conflict finally breaks into violence during a water polo match, theProfessor decides not to proceed with the experiment, but by then it is too late,the wave has uncontrolled...
