Camino


ROAD





Path is a 2008 film directed by Javier Fesser. It is inspired by the life of AlexiaGonzalez-barros, a girl who died at the age of 14 (in 1985), after 10 months ofillness (had a malignant tumor). The discovery of the first love or their education based on the Opus Dei (the title refers to the eponymous book written by thefounder, Jose maria Escriva de Balaguer) marked his last days.


SYPNOSIS




An emotional adventure around an eleven-year-old girl, very religious, facing atthe same time to two events that are completely new to her: falling in love anddie. Road is, above all, a bright light able to cross all and each of the dark doorsthat are close to it, and seeking in vain to plunge into darkness his desire to live,to love and to be definitely happy. Inspired by the true story of Alexia González Barros, the youngest daughter of a family belonging to Opus Dei, who died in1985 at the age of 14, and is now in the process of canonization.

  1. The film participated in the official section of the Festival of San Sebastián film of 2008,1 without getting awards. In the XXIII Edition of the Goya Awards won in six of the seven categories in which it was candidate, including best film, best screenplay and best director.
