SYNOPSIS
Jean-Baptiste Grenouille (Ben Whishaw) was born in the middle of the stench ofthe remains of fish from a market and was abandoned by his mother in the trash.The Authority took charge of the baby and sentenced his mother to be hanged. The boy grew up in the hostile environment of a hospice, nobody wanted himand even his companions tried to assassinate him. There was something thatmade him different: it had no smell. However, Jean-Baptiste had an exceptionalsense of smell. At age 20 get work for the perfumer Baldini (Dustin Hoffman),who teaches him to distill essences. But he wants to catch other odors: that of Crystal, copper... but, above all, certain women.
